Hey, how come we all avoid the scraps, i think they're a more honest expression of an artist style and a chance to reverse-engineer the process, sooooo, give the scraps a chance people. [link] Hey, i look at yours

Wonderful portrait! Being a great fan of Brel, I'm happy to see such a beautiful representation of him. Well done!

Thanks a lot for this kind message!
Hey, so maybe you could tell me who'd sung the English version of "le moribond" (adieu l'Emile, je t'aimais bien, adieu l'Emile je t'aimais bien tu sais...". Sounds like a group of early 70's.
Cheers.
:iconleroux:
Well, I'd heard the English version by the Kingston Trio first, but apparently, Terry Jacks (or something) made it famous in the 70's... Personally, the K Trio do my favorite of all the English versions.
:iconpeter-snug:
Yes! Terry jacks, Seasons In The Sun.
And you know what? I was looking for "The K Trio" on the web, not "the Kingston Trio"... and it was...just...different!!

Did you use a photo ref ? Anyway I love the expression you chose, it's so lovely, I mean serious and focused.
You really depicted exactly his personnality, it's very real-looking and you were fidel to the model.
I'm very glad somebody shares my feeling about this singer. (I mean, I'd like to portrait him as well just like you did)
And the shading is wonderful, the shiny aspect too (because I saw a video of him singing and he did sweat a lot)

It's a pity you didn't get more comment...
